Strolling magic happens close-up when your magician travels from group-to-group entertaining. All you need to supply is a group of people! No set-up time or special facilities required. Music should not be so loud that it is difficult to carry on a conversation and it must be light enough to see.

The Stand-Up Magic format packs small but plays big. By modifying just a few elements, this will play for adults or mixed audiences. Jeff can supply his own sound equipment or use the existing system.

Set-Up: Allow a half hour minimum of set-up time, privacy not required.

Sound: Performer will contact you with his own sound requirements for the type of show being presented. If the venue does not have a sound system available, Amazement Productions can provide their own equipment for an additional fee. A brief sound check is necessary prior to performing.

Lighting: Be sure performing space is brightly lit. As a general rule, turn every light that shines towards the stage on!

Facilities: Both Rick and Jeff enjoy performing close to their audiences to encourage interaction. A platform is helpful to improve visibility. All the magic takes place in an 8' X 8' space. Equipment: Although the exact props vary depending on the act, Jeff frequently uses a roll-on table and a side table.

Other: Please have an event coordinator or emcee to introduce your entertainment. Turn off background music. Arrange seating so there is no one to extreme sides or back angles.

Take-Down: Performers can clear their equipment away from the performing area very quickly to make room for presentations that may follow.

A stage magic show is a larger and more impressive version of the stand-up act, suitable for several hundred people. Backdrops, sound equipment, and portable stage lighting can be supplied to add a theatrical touch to the event. Refer to the technical requirements listed above under Stand-Up Magic, with these modifications:

Set-Up: Allow an hour set-up time, privacy recommended. (Less time is required if lighting is provided on site.)

Lighting: Portable stage lighting consists of two stands with four par cans each with dimmer packs. Everything can be powered by a standard 20A capacity circuit. A programmable lighting controller is used, so no operator is needed.

Facilities: A platform or stage is recommended for improved visibility unless seating is raked. The performing area must be at least 12' wide by 8' deep. Steps should be provided if the height of the platform or stage is more than 18" off the ground. There must be no steps to get the lighting case from the parking lot to the performing area. (Any handicap-accessible building is fine.)

Equipment: Specific props vary depending on the act; inquire for details. Backdrops can be provided (seven feet tall and ten to twenty five feet wide, one to three sections).

Take-Down: Equipment can be cleared away from the performing area very quickly for other performers or presentations. Actual take-down requires less than one hour (less than a half hour when lighting is provided on site).
